Introduction to Team
Dear Parents and Swimmers,
Welcome (back) to the Evergreen Eels! We are excited about the season ahead. We are delighted to have Caitlin Martin as our Head Coach. She grew up in the Mountain Park community and herself was an Evergreen Eel. She currently coaches at Gwinnett Aquatics. We are thrilled that she is returning to us this year! We are also grateful to have Coach Andrea Haskins back to help us this season as an assistant.
While our coaches’ primary focus will be on improving times and technique, we also want this summer to be a fun experience for each and every child. Parents, we ask that you encourage your child to do their best! We also ask that you remember that summer league is supposed to be fun! If swimmers enjoy the sport and would like to continue at a higher level, then we encourage you to get them involved in one of the USA Swimming club teams that are in the area. Please don’t put so much pressure on them that they grow to dislike the sport!
Summer league should also be fun for parents. Swim league gives parents an opportunity to make new friends and to get involved in their children’s activity. We will also be planning some other social activities for the team to enjoy together.
