Hello Eels Families,

Though there is still a chill in the air, sunny days and warm summer nights are not too far off. We all know what that means....Summer Swim is just around the corner! This season has been in the works for months, and we are so excited to get back to dual meets and cheering our swimmers on from the pool deck!!!

Here are a few dates to remember:

On-Line Registration opens March 15! As in previous years, registrations and payments must be processed online. Returning members, please be sure to log into SwimTopia using your previous account login. Registration information is saved and will pre-populate. Registration will be easy peasy!

Walk-in Registration will be Wednesday March 30th from 4:30-6:30 at the EVLK Clubhouse! Please join us to welcome our new head Coach Caitlin Martin (the very same Coach Caitlin of Gwinnett Aquatics fame)! Also, new suits will be available for fitting and ordering at this time.

2022 Season schedule:

First day of practice May 9th,

Meets:

Regular Season (dual meets and Last Chance meet)

May 26, June 2, June 9, June 19, June 23

County Meet July 8-10

15-18yr old's - evening of July 8

9-10 yr old's- morning of July 9 

13-14yr old's- afternoon of July 9 

8&U - morning of July 10

11-12 yr old's- afternoon of July 10

Volunteer Needs:

As always, it takes help from every family to have a successful swim season.  There are multiple ways you can help the Evergreen Eels.  Here are a few ideas to consider:

Team managers:  We are looking for several parents to shadow team managers this year to prepare to manage the team in the future. This is a great way to work some of the best swim parents in Gwinnett!  We would love to have you join us!

Stroke and Turn Officials:  Virtual Training will begin after Spring Break!  You do not need any previous swim experience to perform this job, and it is the very best way to watch your swimmer on deck!  

Sponsorships:  Our team is in need of some (rather costly) new starting blocks.  Community sponsorships would be a great way to offset this expense. If you have business contacts in the local community, we would love to speak with you. 

For those of you who are not returning, we will miss you and your swimmers.  Please forgive our emails over the next few weeks until we open registration.  Once registration opens, we can use the updated team roster to communicate. Returning Eels, we are SO EXCITED to see you soon!  If you know of any swimmers looking for a summer league home, we would love to have them join us!  Please feel free to forward the registration link to friends once it goes out!
