Eels vs YMCA Away Meet 6.15.23
Hi Eels,
Here is the info about our meet this week from the YMCA rep:
Hello,
We are super excited about the swim meet tomorrow. Here's some information you can provide your team before tomorrow's meet.
I have attached a satellite screenshot of our parking lot for all participants. We'll need to park in our lower parking lot near the soccer fields for the swim meet. We will have a parking attendant directing traffic and signage. Swimmers and parents will enter around the side door of our indoor pool, not through the front doors. Again we will have signs to identify where to go. We will have a check-in table for your team and you will need to provide someone for your check-in. We are asking everyone to sign our liability waiver that will be provided at the check-in table. Also all non-swimmers are required to wear a wristband. This helps us identify people just here for the swim meet, and swimmers do not have to wear a wristband. Here at our facility, we have restrooms dedicated to our youth. This area will also be monitored by a bathroom monitor on our team. All other parents will need to use the dedicated restrooms outside. We will be running concession stands cash only.
Address: 2985 Sugarloaf Pkwy, Lawrenceville, GA 30045
- Your team warm-up will be from 5:15 pm – 5:45 pm
- Volunteers meeting at 5:30 pm
- Meet starts at 6:00 pm
I have also provided the heat sheet to this e-mail. You will see that some events are highlighted identifying that it will be a combined event. I will have copies of the heat sheet for your volunteers and coaches.
We are an indoor pool and have a grass area outside that will be used for our team areas. We'll divide it in half when you get here. We have concrete stadium seating on one side of the pool. We will also have a dedicated area where we will allow chairs to be placed for parents to sit. We will put a movable bleacher on the other side of the pool for additional seating.
Lastly, for the relays that the swimmers will be swimming 25s, we do not allow diving in our shallow end of the pool. They can start in the water or do a sitting dive.(Coach Caitlin will work on this with our swimmers in the morning so that they are aware).
Eels-let's plan to arrive BY 4:45 to sign the waiver and be ready to be in the water at 5:15. Parents, please accompany your child to the check-in table to sign the waiver and get a wristband. All non-swimmers will need the wristband. The YMCA team is small and may need additional volunteer support. This meet SHOULD be our shortest one, so let's chip in if needed to help it move along. In preparation, please review the entries list, the heat sheet, and the parking map. In case of inclement weather, the plan will be sent via the REMIND app as it may be different than usual with an indoor pool and the swimmers sitting outside.
Thank you!
