We have an exciting opportunity coming up for our swimmers to improve their times and possibly qualify for county.  

How the GCSL County Championship works:
The top 50 swimmers in each event compete against one another throughout the weekend of July 7-9.  It's a pretty big deal and occurs at Georgia Tech. The schedule is:

This is updated each Saturday.  Important to note: The top 100 is listed because many people will bump into the top 50 once entries are put in.  You have to factor in vacations, availability, the fact that swimmers are only allowed 3 individual events (so if they qualified in all 6, they'll open up space in the other 3 once they enter in their chosen 3).  Typically people in the 50-70 range will get in (but not always), 71-100 is less likely but possible (depending on the event), and it's gone as high as 120 before. 

With all that said, we would like the following swimmers to compete in the Last Chance Meet on Monday, June 26th at 6pm at Rivermist:

-Available for the County Meet

-Are in the Top 100 (or think you may be close based on your time or previous ranking) and want the opportunity to improve to get into the meet or achieve a higher seed

and/or

-Are frequently in the A or B relay for your age group

If you have a question about whether or not you should participate, please ask Coach Caitlin or Coach Andrea as soon as possible. Please RSVP under the schedule tab by Saturday at 12pm.  We expect for the latest rankings to be published and on the website by then. We also ask that you go ahead and RSVP for the GCSL county meet, even if you're not sure you will qualify, we need to know who is available for relays.

Please Note: If you are currently in the Top 100 and available for the GCSL County Meet during your designated session on June 7-9, we will ask you to continue to participate in practice.  Meets and practice end on June 26th for all swimmers not attending the county meet. We will have our End of Season Party on 6/30 at Mountain Park Aquatic Center from 6:30-8:30pm for ALL swimmers and families.
