5th in County Champs again this 2025 Season!
Congrats to our Eels on another fantastic regular season with a 4-1 record in dual meets and an overall County Champs 5th place out of 39 teams. As they announced at the meet this weekend, Gwinnett County Swim League includes approximately 5000 swimmers, 150 coaches, and is the most successful summer swim league in the United States as far as size and national level and collegiate swimmers produced. The Eels are a part of that!
We had some incredible relay swims with our 13-14 girls winning 1st place in both the Medley and Freestyle relays, our 11-12 girls earning 2nd and 3rd in their relays, and 8&under boys earning 2nd and 5th place. These are great achievements. We also had 4 swimmers in the high point running in their respective age groups. Amaya McCann was high point winner in the 6 & under age group. CJ Gast was 2nd runner up for high point in 11-12 girls. Emily Hardy (high point) and Kate Breiding (1st runner up) took the top two honors in the 13-14 girls age group. We had 30 swimmers score individually and many more contribute to relay scores, which really packs in the points. We finished with a total of 2,447 points and a 5th place finish! WAY TO GO EELS!
All county medals (places 1-6) and ribbons (places 7-30) have been sorted and will be delivered to you at club practice if you swim at GAGA, will be mailbox dropped, or you will receive an email on how to retrieve your awards.
If you have not yet received your team towel (this is for all swimmers that missed the end of season party) please email me and I will either mailbox drop it or you can pick it up from me directly.
We are looking forward to next summer and all the fast swims it will bring. Please know that if you'd like to continue swimming year round, there are options. Reply to this email for ideas or see the previous email that was sent with the links to the various programs in our area.
